- 1490 in Linköping; † 1557 in Rom) war ein schwedischer Geistlicher, Kartograph und Geograph.
Sein Hauptwerk waren die Landkarte Nordeuropas Carta marina und die Historia de gentibus septentrionalibus, die einen Kommentarband zu der Karte darstellt. Dieses Werk war die erste geographische Darstellung der Länder des Nordens in der Renaissance.
Die Eindrücke für sein Werk sammelte er auf einer Reise nach Norrland 1518/1519, auf der er über Nidaros bis nach Pello kam.
Magnus begab sich 1524 in Folge der Reformation als gläubiger Katholik gemeinsam mit seinem Bruder Johannes Magnus ins Exil nach Rom.
Ab 1544 hatte er den Rang eines Titularbischofs inne.
