NASDAQ (ang. National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations) - giełda papierów wartościowych w Stanach Zjednoczonych, z filiami w Kanadzie i Japonii. Otwarta 8 lutego, 1971 jako pierwsza całkowicie elektroniczna giełda na świecie. W pierwszych latach istnienia była giełdą do handlowania akcjami spółek związanych z nowoczesnymi technologiami. Od 1999 jest największą amerykańską giełdą, na której handluje się akcjami ponad połowy amerykańskich spółek. 1999 Indeks giełdowy NASDAQ Composite po raz pierwszy przekroczył poziom 1000 punktów 17 lipca, 1995 i osiągnął rekordowy poziom 5132.52 punktów 10 marca 2000, sygnalizując szczytowy punkt fascynacji akcjami spółek internetowych. Po krachu cen tych akcji indeks spadł do poziomu 1108.49 punktów 10 października, 2002, a obecnie (2005) oscyluje na poziomie około 2000 punktów. Obecnie na NASDAQ notowanych jest około 3.200 spółek, wśród nich Intel Corp.,Microsoft Corp., czy Apple Computer, Inc.
