Eesti ajakirjanduse ajalugu

Eesti ajakirjanduse ajalugu Eesti ajakirjanduse algust loetakse aastast 1766, mil Põltsamaal hakkas Peter Ernst Wilde väljaandel ilmuma arstiteadusliku sisuga lehekene "Lühhike öppetus, mis sees monned head rohhud teäda antakse...". Et Wilde ise ei vallanud eesti keelt küllaldasel määral, hoolitses eestikeelse väljande sisu eest Põltsamaa kirikuõpetaja August Wilhelm Hupel. 1806. aastal hakkasid Johann Philip von Roth ja Gustav Adolph Oldekop Tartus välja andma tartukeelset ajalehte "Tartoma Rahva Näddali-Leht". Järjepideva ajakirjanduse ja lehelugemisharjumuse lõi Johann Voldemar Jannseni 1857 asutatud "Perno Postimees". Suur tähtsus oli Carl Robert Jakobsoni "Sakalal". 19. sajandi lõpus ilmus eesti keeles juba paarkümmend ajalehte. Ajalugu Kategooria:Eesti ajalugu
