Docteur en droit et en sciences politiques, Jean-Francois Daguzan est Professeur associé à l'Université de Paris II, maitre de recherche à la Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique (FRS) et Directeur de recherche à la Fondation Méditerranéenne d'Etudes Stratégiques (FMES).
Il a été chargé de mission au Secrétariat général de la défense nationale (SGDN) du Premier Ministre, pour les questions industrielles et de Recherche-Développement. Jean-François Daguzan est aussi rédacteur en chef de la revue Géoéconomie et rédacteur en chef de la revue Maghreb/Machrek.
