Botaniko (el la greka βοτάνη "herbo, planto" ) estas la studo de la plantoj, aŭ de la plantregno. La plantoj estas vivaĵoj, kiuj faras propran nutraĵon, helpe de fotosintezo (fungoj NE estas plantoj kaj estas temo por mikologio). La plantregno havas diviziojn, dum la animalregno havas filumojn.
