Ottawa
Ottawa è la capitale federale del Canada, nonchè terza città per popolazione dello stato nordamericano, dopo Toronto e Montreal, con 808.391 abitanti (1.146.790 nell'area metropolitana cittadina).
Fondata all'inizio del XIX secolo col nome di ByTown, durante il periodo coloniale inglese, fu dichiarata capitale ufficiale del Canada nel 1857 dalla regina britannica Vittoria.
Oggi Ottawa si distingue per essere il fulcro della vita politica canadese, in quanto sede di governo e parlamento dello stato. Tra le sue maggiori attrazioni vi è senz'altro la cosiddetta "collina del parlamento" (Parliament Hill), ove si riuniscono camera e senato, nonché il quartiere centrale, conosciuto come ByWard Market. Ad Ottawa, ogni primo luglio, si svolgono inoltre i festeggiamenti principali del Canada Day, la festa nazionale canadese, in cui si celebra la promulgazione della costituzione del paese nordamericano.
Ottawa, sebbene facente parte del territorio della provincia dell'Ontario, si trova esattamente al confine con la municipalità di Gatineau, nel francofono Quebec, da cui è divisa dal fiume che prende il nome della città capitale, e assieme a cui supera il milione di abitanti; ciò si rispecchia anche nella vita di tutti i giorni, con un forte bilinguismo che ne è senz'altro un elemento particolarmente caratterizzante.
Ad oggi Ottawa si sta espandendo anche come importante metropoli commerciale e direzionale, nonché nelle nuove tecnologie e nell'informatica, con la Corel avente il proprio quartier generale proprio nella capitale. È anche sede di due università (University of Ottawa e Carleton University), nonché di un aeroporto internazionale.

Toronto è la città capitale della provincia dell'Ontario, nonché la città più popolosa del Canada coi suoi 2.518.772 abitanti (5.203.686 nell'area metropolitana). Toronto è dislocata nella regione cosiddetta dei Grandi Laghi, nella quale vivono circa un quarto dei canadesi.
Conosciuta come il motore economico del Canada, Toronto è probabilmente, assieme a Montreal, la città più conosciuta nel mondo del paese nordamericano. Può inoltre vantare il fatto di essere una delle città più multiculturali nel mondo, con circa il 36% degli abitanti di origine non europea.
Toronto confina con il Lago Ontario, e, come il resto del Canada, è caratterizzata da inverni molto rigidi e brevi estati, ma spesso particolarmente calde.
La principale attrazione turistica di Toronto è senza ombra di dubbio la Canadian National Tower o CN Tower, ossia il più alto edificio mondiale, coi suoi 553 metri circa.
A Toronto ha sede la più grande università canadese, la University of Toronto, oltre anche la Ryerson University e la York University, e numerose tra le maggiori industrie e attività economiche del Canada, che fanno di tale città il maggiore polo economico del paese della foglia d'acero.
La città di Toronto è servita da due aeroporti, di cui uno internazionale, il Pearson International Airport, che è probabilmente il maggiore hub aeroportuale di tutto il Canada. Vi sono inoltre diversi aeroporti, tra cui anche quello internazionale di Hamilton, dislocati nella zona metropolitana circostante Toronto stessa.

Hyperkinetix is a Tamil hip hop group from Malaysia consisting of six individuals, Kugan aka Funktionz, Hashish, MC Cable, Yoga, Krisz & VJ. They released their first single titled “Rebornation” which was featured on the Malaysian Fusion X II Compilation CD released in September 2003. The song received good rotation on local radio stations. This groups dates back to 2000 where founders of Rapocalypse Records, an independent hip hop label in Malaysia, Kugan & Bala met up with four friends, VJ, Yoga, Loga & Krisz who were at that time thriving for a chance at the local music industry. Seeing the potential these young lads had, all six of them decided to form a Tamil hip hop group which was subsequently named “Hyperkinetix”. As Kugan@Funktionz was busy producing the album “Melodramatics” that time, it was an excellent opportunity to introduce the group to the independent English hip hop market in Malaysia which at that was on the lookout for something fresh. Hyperkinetix recorded “Vetri” which was produced by group member Kugan@Funktionz and the song was released on the “Melodramatics” album which hit stores in June 2003. The song was an instant hit and received heavy rotation on THR Raaga, Malaysia’s No.1 Tamil radio station. With the success of this song, the group decided to take it one step further by recording a full length album. The album recording process begun in August, 2003 and was completed July, 2004.
The first single from the album “Pirrepom Irrepom” which featured Emceedavid made a debut at No.1 on the Malaysian Tamil music charts and was at the top of the charts for a record breaking 17 consecutive weeks making it the longest running No.1 single in the tamil music charts history establishing Hyperkinetix as one of the hottest new acts to emerge in the Malaysian music scene. Vegam Vivegam is also the first tamil hip hop album in the country to breakthrough the international market with the album being distributed in UK. The group has been featured in numerous publications and also performed at Time Highway Radio’s concert in Malacca in front of a crowd of 40,000 fans.
"Por Vellum Varthaigal" which contain 10 brand new songs is a follow up EP to their debut album "Vegam Vivegam" which took the Malaysian tamil music scene by storm. The album was certified platinum within the first 8 months of its release.
