Wikipedija vsebuje veliko število seznamov. Njihovo popolnjevanje in posodabljanje je težko. Prav tako je težko vzdrževati povezave med elementi seznamov. Sistem kategorij je bil razvit za programje MediaWiki. Samodejno lahko generira nekaj takšnih seznamov in zagotovi takšno kategorizacijo. Seznam kategorij najdemo pod Posebno:Categories. Narod

Národ je sociološki izraz, s katerim označimo etnično skupino, katere članom je skupen biološki izvor. Člani naroda pa so temu ustrezne narodnosti. V slovenščini pomeni izraz narod dobesedno tisti del prebivalstva nekega geografskega področja, ki se tam narodi in ne pride od drugod. Značilnosti vsakega naroda so :
- jezik,
- kultura,
- zgodovinska zavest,
- družbene komunikacije,
- religija
- skupno ozemlje ali zavest o ozemlju.
- gospodarsko in politično organiziranje ter cilji.
